Brick Lane Men’s Discipleship - Take Your Next Step

Women’s Winter 2024 Educational Opportunities

God Does His Best Work with Empty, 8-week Nancy Guthrie video series with workbook

We certainly can feel empty; the challenge is to hear God speak in scripture to this emptiness & to hear Him speak often, with characteristic gentleness & newness. Offering deep sympathy & life-giving hope, this study will strengthen your heart in the weary places & point you to the joy & promise of being filled by Christ.

9:15 - 11:15 AM | Childcare provided
Location: Brick Lane Community Church, Area 71
Facilitator: Joan Hornberger

Son of God: A Bible Study for Women on the Gospel of Mark, Part 2 (inductive study)

In his very first sentence Mark tells us that God has broken into history. His style communicates a sense of crisis, that the status quo has been ruptured. Jesus has come; anything can happen now. Mark wants us to see that the coming of Jesus calls for decisive action. Jesus is seen as a man of action, moving quickly and decisively from event to event. Mainly, we see Jesus doing. Therefore, we can’t remain neutral; we need to respond actively.

Join us as we individually study inductively through the week and then gather on Wednesdays to discuss and learn from each other.

9:15 - 11:15 AM | Childcare provided
Location: Brick Lane Community Church, room TBD
Teacher/Facilitators: Diane Stoltzfus and others

6:30 PM | NO Childcare provided
Location: Brick Lane Community Church, room 8

Biblical Principles of Church

If you ever really grasp what a church is all about, what Jesus had in mind when he founded it, what his plan for whatever church you’re in and you in it is, you would not be able to stretch your arms far enough for the greatness of it.

Join us for an educational series of sermons from Pastor Steve Estes.

J-Curve

The class content, taken from the book, J-Curve: Dying and Rising with Jesus in Everyday Life, by Paul Miller, maps the ups and downs of daily life onto the story of Jesus.

The content of J-Curve is excellent because it is both helpful for people who are seeking God and for seasoned Christians alike!

Good Things Ahead for Zion

A 3-part series of sermons from Pastor Steve Estes reviews the Book of Isaiah and how God is telling his people of the good that is in the future, even though they may be going through difficult times now.

Race and Racism

Pastor Steve Estes discusses a difficult set of topics in this 3 part series of sermons which include Why God Made Races, As Christians Address Racial Tensions, and Am I Responsible for Other People’s Racism.

Sanctification Sermons

The Sanctification Sermons are a collection by Pastor Steve Estes beginning with the question, What is Holiness, Do I Need It?

Several additional sermons continue this series.
